BigStockPhoto offers royalty free images at an extremely low price.

Feature Set:   Excellent

This stock photography site requires that you purchase 'photo credits' starting at $2.50/ea and decrease to $1.40/ea if you buy 100 credits. We could not find any images that cost more than one credit.

They offer royalty free images that can be used for everything from web design templates to print ads. The only request that they have is that you use the image under the 'fair use' guidelines and that you purchase a new copy for every project that you put the image into.

One unique feature they offer is that under the image they post how many downloads have been performed for that particular image.

Search/Sort Options:   Excellent

You can search by keyword, category, subject, DPI, quality, orientation and photographer. You can also filter out adult content if desired or search by most popular, most viewed, recently added and other sort options.

Quality:   Excellent

Most images are fairly clear, but their quality is pretty run of the mill and cannot compete with top notch photographic artists.

Selection:   Excellent

They offer nearly 200,000 images that include photographs as well as some digitally altered images and some illustrations.

Summary:

BigStockPhoto offers reasonably priced images and has good search options. However, it would be nice if they offered a subscription program.
